In a nutshell

Génie Culturel is a pioneer in the field of experiential tourism in French-speaking Switzerland.

Our mission:

Use digital and immersive technologies to produce unique, entertaining and engaging XR experiences to build heritage:

  • A 4-season experience
  • A lever for tourism
  • A marker of identity
  • A lever for economic development

Génie Culturel Game Generator is a studio specialising in the creation of XR experiences..

  • We create XR experiences for museums, tourist sites and science popularisation projects.
  • We are developing our own PC-VR systems, offering top-of-the-range (AAA) graphics in co-location (spatial anchors) using inside/out tracking.
  • We make our own hardware: back-mounted desktop PC, up to 1h00 battery life, weight with battery 6.9kg.
  • We strive for innovation without compromise, and we stand out for our high-precision solutions.
  • We optimise 3D scanning (Scan3D) and photogrammetry (high quality shots, several million points) so that this extremely heavy data can function in the environment of a real-time game engine.
  • We create our own realistic textures from scratch.
  • We have the in-house capacity to build networks for multi-player games in virtual reality for up to 10 people simultaneously in a robust way. All this runs on a local server created by us.
  • We create our own 3D avatars of characters (contemporary, historical, fictional) that we animate using performances by real actors.
  • We have been operating our own solutions for over 7 years.
  • We provide management, maintenance, digital marketing and customer service for our solutions.

In short, Genie Cultural Game Generator combines all the essential elements of any XR experience with the added value of integrating historical, cultural or scientific educational content:

Research, content analysis
Game design
Narrative design
3D design

The Manuscript of the 6 Ages of the World is one of the masterpieces of the Valais Cantonal Archives. Stève Bobilier, a doctor of medieval philosophy, has been working on it for a long time.

A family treasure hunt in the town of Sion with bronze statuettes

THE LITTLE PEOPLE
A family treasure hunt for children aged 6 and over. In search of bronze statuettes scattered around the old town of Sion, children accompanied by their parents discover a small world of fantastic characters. Using a mobile application (webApp) enriched with images, audio and riddles, parents and children travel together between two beautiful worlds. QR codes are placed or hidden near the statuettes. The statuettes are located at various points of historical interest in the city. Participants and visitors must scan the QR-codes to access the content and complete the stages.

Family game concept to be discovered in Sion from 7 July 2023: https://petitpeuplesion.ch
